| it literally has been years since i last updated this thing. the only reason i even am on here right now is because a student made a facebook status update about her xanga. to be completely honest to the two people who might read this, i honestly enjoy xanga more than i'd like to admit. it's so much easier to customize than blogger, which i also have. maybe i'll update this often. blogging, espcially when it's personal and has no point, is very liberating and theraputic when you're not feeling to swell.
anyways, updates.
so that last time i updated this thing was in 2006 after i got my first job. so much has happened since then. let's see how long i can make this.
lauri and i got married. i worked in mexia which is outside of waco. we lived in waco, and lauri worked at mclennan community college in the university center. we LOVED it. had a great apartment. went to church at first methodist-waco. were members of a really amazing sunday school class and i played on the softball team.
i wasn't planning on leaving, but was very unhappy with a few but major aspects of my job at mexia. my friend jerry got a phone call about a job at longview high school. he turned it down because of a commitment to another school district but gave the director my name and said that i might be looking to move. so the head director at longview high called me and asked if i'd be interested in coming and talking to him. i said sure. went and interviewed and got the job.
so lauri and i moved from waco back home to east texas. lauri got a job at etbu in marshall and because we had to move so quickly we moved to marshall. we weren't too happy with ANYTHING in marshall. in fact we hate(d) everything about it. we started looking for a house in longview and lauri started looking for a new job. on oct 31 we closed on a house in the pine tree area of longview and lauri got a new job at kilgore college.
pretty much everything is going great now! the director that hired me retired this year, but i love the guy i work for now. i'm in charge the recruiting for our entire school district and i'm very proud to say that we'll have around 240 6th grade students in band next year. lauri and i go to greggton united methodist church.
we've done a lot of traveling since the last time that i updated and i'm big into photography now. we've been to charleston, sc, las vegas, nv, branson, mo numerous times, florida, etc.
life's pretty awesome.
i think i'll update this thing more. maybe i can get it cool again.

| so it's been a while since i last posted. crazy. i don't really keep up with this thing anymore. it's all about the facebook and myspace (which i really don't use much either). anyways, the main point of this update is to let everyone who will actually read this know that i've got a job now. i was hired as an assistant band director at mexia isd in mexia, tx. it's right outside of waco and that's where lauri and i plan on living. thanks to everyone who thought of me and kept me in their prayers. i'm super excited about this and ready to start work now. thanks everyone. i'm out. | | |
| so i just changed the video. everyone, you have to watch

| mudbugs hockey today. yay! lauri is going. think
we're going to the tailgate area, too. well rather the
coldgate. it's pretty chilly around here today. my apt is
clean. yay! man, my sentences are very short and choppy
today. oh, so friday i had to conduct the gms band at their
aerospace assembly and then had to drive down to nsu real quick.
so i left with plenty of time. or so i thought. yeah, it
took me TWENTY MINUTES to get from greenacres to I-20!!!! TWENTY
MINUTES!!! so i got to nsu 5 minutes later than i was supposed
to. and when i got there, I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! had a 45
minute meeting with dr. ralston. that was good. i was the
supposed to have an hour and a half computer session. oh yeah,
that's right, i'm ahead of where i'm supposed to be so i just
left. a waste of a day down in natchitoches. i could have
stayed a gms and finished testing the kids that didn't get tested on
thursday. ugh! oh yeah, to all the kids who won awards,
CONGRATS! i'm very proud of you guys. well, i'm getting off
of this thing. lauri needs to hurry up and get here if she wants
to go do some wedding stuff. l8r.
